We Scottish Fold breeders take our responsibilities for our breed very seriously. The last place we want to see one of our breed is in a shelter or homeless. Please let us know immediately if you know of a Scottish Fold in a shelter, or running loose. We have contacts and volunteers all over the US. We can always use more volunteers and are periodically looking for homes for rescued Folds. Please contact Linnea if you can help in any way. |

Additionally, all responsible Scottish Fold breeders today endorse early spay and neuter of pet kittens. We prefer to spay or neuter the kittens we sell or place before they leave us. This is our way to prevent the temptation of "just one litter" and one more way we take responsibility, and express our concern, for the kittens we produce. As a former shelter worker, I believe that the saying "Educate, Don't Legislate" is the way to go with this issue. Cat breeders continue to work hard to educate our pet buyers on responsible pet ownership and husbandry. |
